Robots to promote China's equipment manufacturing into the ranks of powerful countries

Author:

With the rapid development of the robot industry, equipment manufacturing enterprises take advantage of the transformation and upgrading of industrial robots. Under this trend, China's equipment manufacturing will enter the ranks of powerful countries.

The major consulting project of "Strategic Research on Manufacturing Power" carried out by the Chinese Academy of Engineering puts forward the guidelines and strategic countermeasures for entering the ranks of manufacturing power in 2025.

Zhou Ji, president of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, said that China has become a major manufacturing country in the world. However, China's manufacturing industry is large and not strong. Realizing the transformation from a manufacturing power to a manufacturing power is a major issue facing China's economic development in the new era.

At present, China's manufacturing industry is in the stage of transformation and upgrading. The industrial 4.0 strategy focusing on robots will accelerate the process of intelligent manufacturing. It is understood that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology plans to introduce a number of measures to further promote the application of industrial robots in terms of improving the construction of the standard system, industrial financial support, and building a production-demand docking platform.

2025 will enter the ranks of power

In January 2013, the Chinese Academy of Engineering launched and carried out a major consulting project on the Strategic Study of Manufacturing Power. After nearly two years of research by more than 50 academicians and more than 100 experts, the consulting project has achieved preliminary research results, put forward suggestions for the implementation of the "Made in China 2025", clarified the phased goals and various indicators for my country to become a manufacturing power, and proposed Guidelines and strategic countermeasures for entering the ranks of manufacturing powers in 2025.

The project team believes that China's manufacturing industry is large but not strong, and the main problems are that the ability of independent innovation is not strong, the core technology and key components are controlled by others, the problem of product quality is prominent, the efficiency of resource utilization is low, the industrial structure is unreasonable, and most industries are still at the middle and low end of the value chain.

To this end, the project team has put forward many strategic countermeasures, one of which is to "implement digital networked intelligent manufacturing", which will be carried out in two stages: digital manufacturing will be widely implemented before 2020, and intelligent manufacturing application demonstration will be carried out with key enterprises as the main body in advantageous industries; Intelligent manufacturing will be fully promoted after 2020. Attach great importance to the development of key components such as CNC systems, servo motors, sensors, measuring instruments, and key equipment such as high-end CNC machine tools, industrial robots, and 3D manufacturing equipment; break through a batch of "CNC generation" mechanical products and intelligent manufacturing equipment; promote digital workshops and digitalization Pilot and application of factories and digital enterprises.

On December 2, held in Dongguan, Guangdong Province, the "CNC generation" mechanical product innovation and application demonstration project work exchange, Zhou Ji pointed out, "In 2012, China's manufacturing value added was 2079.262 billion U.S. dollars, accounting for about 20% of the global manufacturing industry, and the United States. China has become the world's manufacturing power. However, China's manufacturing industry is big but not strong."

The project team believes that a manufacturing power should have four main characteristics: strong industrial scale, optimized industrial structure, good quality and efficiency and sustainable development potential.

Based on these characteristics, the project team established a manufacturing evaluation system consisting of 4 first-level indicators and 18 second-level indicators, and calculated its past years based on major industrialized countries such as the United States, Germany, Japan, Britain, France, and South Korea. The manufacturing composite index. Based on this, the report predicts that the process of China's entry into a manufacturing power is probably as follows: in 2025, it can enter the world's second phalanx and enter the ranks of manufacturing powers. In 2035, it will be in the forefront of the second phalanx. In 2045, it is expected to enter the first phalanx including the United States, Germany and Japan, and become a manufacturing power with global leading influence.

Zhou Ji told reporters that the development of "Made in China 2025" is embodied in four major changes and a main line. This is the transformation from factor-driven to innovation-driven, from low-cost competitive advantage to quality-benefit competitive advantage, and from resource consumption and pollutants. Extensive manufacturing with large emissions is transformed to green manufacturing, and from production-oriented manufacturing to service-oriented manufacturing. Its main line is the deep integration of information technology and manufacturing technology. The ultimate goal is to build an upgraded version of China's manufacturing, enter the ranks of manufacturing powers, and achieve industrialization.

Industrial robots boost industrial upgrading

At present, China's manufacturing industry is in the stage of transformation and upgrading. The industrial 4.0 strategy focusing on robots will accelerate the process of intelligent manufacturing. Due to the rising labor cost and the increasingly fierce market competition, the use of more artificial intelligent robots to improve production efficiency and reduce operating costs has become a key development direction of the global manufacturing industry.

According to the reporter's understanding, overseas technology giants have laid out one after another. In the second half of 2013, Google successively acquired nearly 10 robot companies to lay out the intelligent equipment industry. In addition, Foxconn and Apple have also invested heavily to promote the machine substitution strategy to further enhance the level of electronic manufacturing.

In the context of the upgrading requirements of the manufacturing industry and the decline of the demographic dividend, the demand for China's robot industry has grown rapidly in recent years. At the same time, local governments have also launched machine substitution strategies. Zhejiang took the lead in proposing the machine substitution project in 2013. It plans to implement 5000 machine substitution projects every year in the next five years to realize 500 billion yuan of machine substitution investment and promote the transformation of industrial production mode from manufacturing to intelligent manufacturing. Chongqing, Shanghai and other places have also set development goals for the robot industry, and Chongqing plans to reach an output value of 50 billion yuan in five years.

Recent intensive research institutions related to industrial 4.0 robot companies, as an important grasp of industrial upgrading, the robot industry in a series of policy support will usher in rapid development. It is estimated that by 2020, China will have 300000 robots, and the output value of robots and systems is about 100 billion yuan, driving the 300 billion yuan parts market. In addition, the reducer, servo motor and other core components mainly rely on imports, with the maturity of domestic technology, import substitution space is broad.

Data show that at present, domestic robot sales account for only 5% of machine tool sales, while that of the United States, Japan and Germany reaches 15%-25%. Robot sales account for machine tool sales and robot density have much room for improvement. At present, every 10000 workers in China are equipped with only about 10 units, compared with the global average of 58 units, there is huge room for improvement.

To this end, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued the "Guiding Opinions on Promoting the Development of the Industrial Robot Industry" at the end of 2013, proposing to form a relatively complete industrial robot industry system by 2020, and cultivate 3-5 internationally competitive leading enterprises and 8-10 A supporting industrial cluster. According to the reporter's understanding, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will also introduce a number of measures to further promote the application of industrial robots in terms of improving the construction of the standard system, industrial financial support, and building a production-demand docking platform.

According to reports, industrial robots are mainly composed of high-precision reducers, servo motors and controllers. In terms of cost ratio, reducers account for about 1/3, servo motors and controllers account for about 20% and 15% respectively. At present, the import dependence of key components in China is as high as 90%, mainly controlled by ABB, Fanaco, Kuka and Yaskawa Electric, the four family enterprises of global industrial robots, and the import substitution space is huge.

It is gratifying that at present, the robot high-precision RV reducer developed by the domestic leading enterprise giant wheel has made a major breakthrough and successfully broke the foreign technology monopoly.
