On June 14, 2017, the national science and technology support plan "Development of complete sets of automatic spraying equipment for super-large hull sections" led by Chongqing Changjiang coating equipment Co., Ltd. and participated by Harbin Institute of Technology successfully passed the acceptance of the evaluation expert group of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China Shipbuilding heavy Industry.

The review expert group carefully listened to the report of the research group, and carefully reviewed the research content and completion status of the project, the key technologies solved, the assessment indicators and completion status, the results obtained and the application status, etc., and the expert group representatives went to the demonstration application site of Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Group Co., Ltd. for on-site acceptance. The expert group believes that the project has reached the assessment index stipulated in the task book and unanimously agreed to pass the project acceptance.

The research results of this topic fill the gap of the domestic super-large hull segment spraying automation equipment technology, make the domestic super-large hull segment automatic spraying possible, will effectively enhance the ability and level of equipment manufacturing in the domestic shipbuilding industry, and provide the equipment foundation for improving the ship segment manufacturing process and automation level.

The research lasted for three years, combined with the urgent needs of domestic shipbuilding enterprises for advanced hull construction key technology and automation process equipment, developed a 13-degree-of-freedom large-scale mobile spraying robot system, to solve the hull segment scale, complex surface caused by the automatic painting problem; developed a new type of six-degree-of-freedom lightweight spraying robot arm, to ensure the uniformity of the paint film and improve the efficiency of spraying; A large-scale ultra-redundant mobile coating robot spraying trajectory planning method for coating the outer surface of the hull is proposed, which ensures the uniformity and coating coefficient of the coating thickness of the robot arm, and develops a special spraying equipment that meets the new specifications of ship coating and coating requirements. The vehicle-mounted mobile painting robot system equipment for the segmented facade of ships was developed and demonstrated in Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Group Co., Ltd. After testing by relevant departments, the coating coefficient has reached the international advanced level 1.6, and the spraying efficiency has increased by 40%. At the same time, it has applied for 2 invention patents, obtained 1 invention patent authorization, published 3 papers, and formed 1 industry standard.
